Phil Gore

Chief Technical Officer and Chief Architect

Phil Gore serves as the CTO and Chief Architect at Exceleras. Phil has many years of experience building enterprise class software that delivers the features and flexibility leading edge clients require. Phil directs the strategic technology direction for the Exceleras software suite, and orchestrates the efforts of developers, DBAs, and specialists in infrastructure and security.

Prior to joining Exceleras, Phil was a software architect at Allstate, where he introduced innovative solutions on numerous key projects. Phil worked with developers from dozens of application areas to consolidate siloed software projects into a unified portal platform. He was a major contributor to Allstate’s first large scale, agency facing web application at the beginning of the millennium.

Prior to Allstate, Phil was director of technology for a commercial software division of Medline Industries. He led the development of products for O.R. scheduling and materials management, used by hospitals across the country.

Maureen Mullig

Chief Financial Officer

Maureen Mullig joined Exceleras in 2008, and in her role as Chief Financial Officer oversees all accounting, financial reporting responsibilities and human resource functions, as well as investor reporting. Maureen is a CPA with over 25 years of accounting experience, including working as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Maureen has been a licensed Realtor, and also brings a strong Real Estate background to the company.

Maureen attended Loyola University, earning a BA in Business Administration-Accounting

Dave Carlson

Executive Chairman

Dave Carlson has over 25 years of senior-level management experience with specific expertise in information systems implementation, business process outsourcing for benefits, and human resource programs. He currently serves as chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Empyrean Benefit Solutions. Prior to his work at Exceleras and Empyrean, Dave was a partner, US business leader, and global strategy leader at Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Dave also served as chairman, CEO and co-founder of Synhrgy HR Technologies. During Mr. Carlson’s tenure at Synhrgy, the company grew its annual revenues from $0 to $50 million and was sold to Mercer. Dave was also a partner and director of outsourcing at Hewitt Associates.

Dave has a Master’s degree in Management and Management Information Systems from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems from Taylor University.
